Wrinkle Treatment

Botox can reduce wrinkles by relaxing muscles, which contribute to creating wrinkles and lines. Botox prevents these muscles from causing these wrinkles and lines by allowing the muscles to become relaxed.

Botox is a diluted form of Botulinum toxin, which is injected into areas such as frown lines, forehead, and crow's feet.

Even though Botox is a toxin there have been no serious side effects associated with it's use. Some side effects due to the Botox injection are as follows: bruising, swelling, and a rare side effect may be drooping of the eyelid, which is temporary. The toxin remains local and does not spread through the body.

Botox lasts anywhere from three to six months. It is also recommended to continue treatments for a preventive measure against wrinkling.

The people who should not be treated are pregnant women and individuals with neurologic diseases.
